Lina Sleibi

Lina Sleibi (لينا صليبي in Arabic) is a Palestinian Singer. She was born in 24 august 1992 in Palestine. She is graduated from Bethlehem University, Israel. In the years 2006-2009, she participated in many local and international festivals and musical concerts, including Palestine, Belgium, Poland, Britain, and France. The last of these festivals, “The International University Music Festival”, was held in Sousa, Tunisia, in 2012.

In 2008, Lina was invited to play violin and sing with “The Choir of London” in Britain. In 2009, and in cooperation with the French artist Hervé Demon, Lina participated in two musical festivals in France and Belgium.

In the year 2010, she joined “Wajd Musical Group” at Bethlehem University, where she continued her studies and got a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Marketing.

In 2013 and 2014, Lina participated in “Ta’ Al-Shabab Educational Festival” in the Kingdom of Bahrain through the singing of “The Festival Main Music Theme”, in addition to her participation in “ ‘Ala Amal Al-Liqa’ على أمل اللقاء ” as part of the Festival for honoring the late Saudi poet Ghazi al-Gosaibi where she sang “Tilka Aqdari تلك أقداري “ written by Al-Gosaibi.

In June 2014, Lina released her first song “Rajje’ly Yah رجعلي ياه” ,which was written by “Khaled Al-Sha’er” from Bahrain and composed by Mohammed Al-Hasan, also from Bahrain.
In August 2014, Lina recorded the song called “Yuma Mwel el Hawa يما مويل الهوا” from the Palestinian folklore and it was rearranged by Mohammed AlHasan.

In December 2014, Lina was invited to participate in the MBC program “Kalam Nawaem” on the occasion of the release of her first song “Rajje’ly Yah” which was a success. It is worth noting that the song was a joint Palestinian- Jordanian- Bahraini effort.

In January 2015, Lina sent a humanitarian message through her song “Bard برد” in solidarity with the poor and the homeless. The song was composed and arranged by Mohammed Al-Hasan.
In February 2015, Lina released her song “Baddi Tkoon بدي تكون” which was composed and produced by Mohammed Al-Hasan.

In May 2015, Lina released her song “3am Fattish عم فتش” which was composed, arranged and produced by Mohammed Al-Hasan. In August 2015, Lina also participated in the Educational Festival “Ta’ AlShabab” in its seventh year in the Kingdom of Bahrain through the singing of “The Festival Main Music Theme of 2015 ثيمة مهرجان تاء الشباب“ In August 2015, Lina participated in the opening of Bet Lahem Live Festival which took place in Bethlehem, Palestine.

In September 2015, Lina sang and produced a cover song of the Italian Egyptian singer Dalida, “Helwa Ya Baladi حلوة يا بلدي“ which was a huge success in both the Arab and Western countries.
In September 2015, Lina also released her new song “Atwaqa’ أتوقع” which was also composed and arranged by Mohammed Al-Hasan.

In November 2015, Lina sang a cover song “Li Beirut لبيروت “ for the Lebanese singer Fairouz. In February 2016, Lina sang a cover of “Fe Youm wi Lela في يوم وليلة” for the Algerian-Lebanese singer Warda Al-Jazairia.

In March 2016, Lina released a mix of cover songs in “My Angel – يا ملاكي ” for Mother’s Day in cooperation with Telelumiere in Lebanon. In April 2016, Lina was pleased to be involved in children’s theater through singing “ Land of Dreams Ard Al Ahlam أرض الأحلام ” for the play “Jihan’s Smile”.

In June 2016, Lina was involved in a workshop with the renowned dance instructor and dancer Pierre Dulaine, which took place in Bethlehem, Palestine.
In August 2016, Lina was invited to sing with the “Australian Open House Ensemble” in the “Palestine Choral Festival – مهرجان الجوقة الفلسطيني” which took place in Palestine. In October 2016, Lina sang an Oriental cover version of the Hindi song “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” with an oriental touch.
Lina sees that her next step would be releasing her own album. Moreover, she’s currently preparing some single songs in addition to some local and international musical concerts.
