Coral Segovia

Coral Segovia is a Spanish pop music singer, winner of the Benidorm Festival in 2005. With two albums on the market, she is known for participating in the preselections to be the Spanish representative in the Festival of the Eurovision song. Its last participation was in the year 2010 with the song “In a Life”. With an artistic background by her mother, Coral began her training as a singer at an early age, receiving classical singing lessons from Luis Arnedillo and dancing at the academy of Giorgio Aresu, legendary choreographer of TVE. She debuted on stage at twelve and at fourteen, she was already recording her first models, gaining experience through performances in theaters and theaters.

At the beginning of 2000 and again in Spain, Coral attended a voice cast by the producers Juan Belmonte and Abel Arana (Pumpin ‘Dolls), who were looking for a female voice to launch a future LP. Finally the artist is chosen. She began to rehearse and again to record models between the months of April and July. Also in the month of August they began to compose new songs for the debut album of the singer. Finally in May of 2001, and after meetings with record companies to officially present the artist’s album, Coral was signed by the company Columbia Records of the CBS group. That same year, under the stage name of Catgirl, she recorded a version of the classic “Rumore, Rumore” by Raffaella Carrá for the BSO of the movie The Great Martian, produced by Pumpin ‘Dolls.

On September 25, 2001, remixes of “Volverás” were made, first single of the album as promotion advance. The disc that was planned to be released in September, it was postponed until November and finally it was launched in 2002. On December 11, Tony Aguilar and Joaquín Luqui presented Coral’s “Volverás” on the Fan Club program. The album Coral2 had twelve songs, mostly composed by Coral and those producers. They also collaborated: Pablo Pinilla, David de Maria, David Santisteban, JC Villamil, Fernando Rodriguez, Alejandro Piqueras and Lydia. This disc was promoted in 2002 with three singles. The first, «Volverás», managed to sneak into the 20 best-selling singles for several weeks and became one of the most radioed of the moment. Later, “Crystal Tears” was launched and, finally, “Storm”. During that same year Coral made a promotional tour, sponsored by Pumpin ‘Dolls. It is presented at the Murcia Gala with its theme «Lágrimas de Cristal».

She also performed at the anniversary parties of the Fan Club radio program in Barcelona and Madrid. A few months later under the umbrella of Los 40 Principales and with other artists, he made a promotional tour that began in Castellón, taking it to other cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Bilbao, Valencia, Malaga, Cádiz and Valladolid. Likewise, the artist conducts interviews for the Zero and Odyssey magazines, among others. Continuing with the promotion of the album, Coral was presented in Andorra, and the good reception prompted him to go as a guest star to the OBA Young Promises Gala, where he acted before the president of the principality. All in all, the Coral album had insufficient circulation and discreet sales.
